The written certificate is only half of TS-1. Full credit requires a lead to watch the tech perform each job on a real trailer and sign it off to ESI standard.
How TS-1 credit works. Two halves: (1) Written — the TS-1 course quizzes & final at 80%. (2) Practical — this sheet, each competency demonstrated on a real unit and signed by a lead. An experienced tech may challenge the reading and go straight to the written exam — but no one tests out of the practical. Lead sign-off is required for everyone.

"If it looks right, it flies right." A competency is signed only when the tech does it to ESI standard unassisted — job flow, corrosion discipline, stop-and-flag, clean handoff. Comeback checks (grounds, preload, bleed) are non-negotiable. Corrosion is the marine constant. Sign paper for the file and log the completion with the desk.
